Our Team

Oreon team includes several positions. Temporary contributors will not show up here.

Leaders​

Teams

Management​

Responsible for recruiting new people onto the team and managing general operations for a specific range of team members. There will be more than one coordinator to manage a larger team in the future.

Development Team​

Responsible for the feature and code development for Oreon sub-projects and in-OS features. Any proposed changes or additions to the OS itself must go through the project leader after agreements between two or more team members. Developers also handle translation of text for global support.

Packaging Team​

Responsible for new package additions, rebuilding packages, updating packages, and overall general package maintenance, excluding security.

Security Research Team​

Responsible for finding security issues, monitoring CVEs, advising the users of security bugs, backporting fixes to packages, and rebuilding packages.

Social Media Team​

Responsible for taking part in production, editing, and interaction with community social media accounts, such as our YouTube channels.

Role of BoostyConnect Technologies

BoostyConnect Technologies is the legal holder of Oreon and provides infrastructure support & team supervision for parts of Oreon.

This may include helping secure infrastructure, services, and other operational resources used by the project.

BoostyConnect does not generally direct the technical vision or day to day development of Oreon. The project's direction remains primarily guided by the actual team members.
